Yoshiaki visits Yuuji while Yuki identifies the treasure at Eiji's home as an artifact Souma possessed. After Yoshiaki is caught trespassing, he reveals his brother Tsubasa leads the Phantom Thief Brigade. The group deduces the thieves are linked to the Agency, viewing the pursuit as a trap. Yuki convinces Takuya to assist Yoshiaki to learn more about artifacts. As they move, Yuuji and Keigo tail them, revealing Takuya's past with the Agency and Yoshiaki's Tama-shi abilities. Tsuki shares a plan with Taiyou, Suzuna, and Souma. The Brigade ambushes the group, immobilizing them. A flashback shows Tsubasa injuring Tsuki, who then shoots him. Yumiko provides details on Tsubasa's connection to Light of Hope Academy. A three-way confrontation ensues involving Sumire, with Yuki summoning Akira to aid Souma.
