Ep. 13: Aono becomes human after Matsuri and Yorito die, then reunites with friends a year later.

Matsuri attempts to stab Aono, who dodges but sustains a shoulder wound while Yorito loses an arm and weakens as Aono loses her Yaka powers. Ignoring Matsuri’s warning, Yorito intervenes in their fight and is impaled by the sword Aono wields. He vanishes in paper, followed by Aono’s cries, after which Matsuri fatally stabs Aono. As dawn breaks, Matsuri smiles at the azure sky before dying. Aono survives, now human, and is devastated by the loss. One year later, she returns with no memory of the events, befriending Mana and Koyori while forgiving Matsuri. The trio visits their usual spot for a sunrise photo. When a vending machine malfunctions, Aono uses Matsuri’s effective kick to fix it. She then notices two empty cans of tomato and bean broth beside a wooden pavilion.
