Following the destruction of his base, Dr. Eggman unleashes terror upon the city using the Egg Fort, a mobile fortress concealed underground. Sonic attempts to intervene but cannot reach the high-altitude target. Chris and his companions are frustrated that they could have accessed the fortress using the X-Tornado. At that moment, Tanaka arrives in a trailer, delivering the aircraft to their location. Sonic boards the X-Tornado and launches an assault on the Egg Fort. This action initiates a significant battle between Sonic and the formidable mobile fortress as the conflict unfolds in the sky.
