A green Chaos Emerald reacts above an overseas resort, indicating the fourth blue Chaos Emerald is underwater. Since Sonic cannot swim, the group visits a diving shop to acquire necessary equipment before entering the ocean. Relying on the signal from the Chaos Emerald, they search the depths and locate a sunken ship from the age of exploration. Upon retrieving the emerald, they are suddenly attacked by a robot sent by Eggman, leaving them in a precarious and dangerous situation.
