Chaos Control from episode 1 warps Rouge into this world, where she remains a jewel thief. To defeat Dr. Eggman, the President's office devises a plan to recruit Sonic and his friends. They lure Rouge into a trap by fabricating a hoax about a Chaos Emerald appearing. The government orders her to become an agent and infiltrate Dr. Eggman's base. Inside, Rouge discovers a cyan Chaos Emerald and engages in combat with one of Eggman's robots while attempting to steal it.
