Ox seeks the legendary sword Excalibur to complete a report. Upon meeting the sword, he finds it differs from expectations, requiring him to endure one thousand provisions and various stories. Excalibur recounts his past in a ghettoized city, opera performances, a failed crime investigation, a battle expedition, and heartbreak from a first love. After singing a song about himself, Excalibur offers Ox partnership. Ox declines, criticizing the sword's personality instead.
