Ep. 16: Kid fights Crona on a ghost ship while Maka and Stein investigate Medusa's black blood scheme
Kid recklessly attacks Crona, who survives and uses Screaming Resonance to split the ship. Kid chases Crona across the sea but lets him escape due to an obsession with symmetry. Meanwhile, Maka visits Medusa to report coughing up black blood. Medusa gives Maka pills that increase the black blood's presence, though Maka is unaware of this effect. Stein also visits Medusa to investigate the pills and becomes convinced she is a witch. He sends Sid and Mila Naigus to her house to uncover the truth about her evil scheme involving the black blood. They are caught by Eruka, who was sent by Medusa to retrieve a briefcase containing the black blood for her plan. Kid returns to the DWMA and asks his father about the presence of a kishin within the academy.
