Students at DWMA prepare for an upcoming test through various methods. Maka strives to outperform rival Ox Ford and honor her mother’s legacy. Death the Kid focuses on drawing a symmetrical face, believing he already knows the answers. Liz worries about her appearance, while Patty sleeps. Black Star attempts to steal the exam but is caught and punished by Stein. Soul hides cheat sheets in his clothes but is discovered by Sid. During the test, Kid writes only his name, and Patty folds her paper into an origami giraffe. Ultimately, Maka achieves the highest score in the class.
