The Computer Research Society president challenges the SOS Brigade to a computer game called The Day of Sagittarius III to reclaim a computer Haruhi extorted earlier. Haruhi accepts the challenge but finds the game unexpectedly difficult. Yuki initially struggles with the computer's operation but quickly adapts. She discovers that Computer Research Society members are cheating and uses this knowledge to block their tactics. By countering their unfair advantages, she wins the game. The victory secures several laptops for the SOS Brigade club room, resolving the dispute over the previously taken equipment.
