Haruhi directs Kyon to fetch a heater, leaving the club room where she photographs Mikuru in various costumes for the movie's DVD cover. Itsuki offers assistance while Yuki remains alone reading. Upon Kyon's return, he discovers only Yuki present and waits for the others before falling asleep. He wakes to find Haruhi waiting to leave. Rain has begun, prompting Haruhi to borrow a school umbrella for their journey home. During the walk, Kyon observes a more playful side of Haruhi, who concludes the interaction by making a playful face with her tongue out.
