Ep. 23: Kazuto and Leafa resolve their family estrangement through a symbolic duel in ALO

Recalling his childhood realization that he is not biologically related to Suguha, Kazuto reflects on how this discovery caused him to withdraw from his family and immerse himself in online gaming. Seeking to mend their relationship, he invites Suguha to meet in ALO. Leafa initially debates ending their in-game sibling dynamic but ultimately challenges Kirito to a duel. Both combatants discard their weapons and exchange apologies. Kazuto explains that he cannot fully express his feelings for Suguha until Asuna is rescued, prompting Leafa to agree to assist in the rescue mission, bringing Recon along. The situation appears desperate until Sakuya and Alicia arrive with their armies to provide crucial support.
