Ep. 12: Kirito deduces Death Gun has accomplices and sets a trap with Sinon and Dark Wind.
Aired on September 20, 2014

Kirito discovers that twenty-four players have died, leaving only himself and Dark Wind visible on the map. He suspects Death Gun has multiple real-world accomplices since the casualty count does not match the known survivors. To protect Dark Wind, Kirito and Sinon devise a plan where Sinon provides sniper support. When Death Gun attacks Kirito, he dodges the bullet by sensing the trajectory. Dark Wind is killed by Sinon after taking cover. Sinon then engages Death Gun, who spots her after her initial undetected shot. They exchange fire simultaneously; Sinon destroys Death Gun's weapon while he breaks her scope. Death Gun then draws an estoc and overpowers Kirito with superior speed following a brief conversation.
