Ep. 5: Kazuma Decodes a Dying Message to Solve a Murder Case

Frustrated by his placement in Q Class, Kazuma convinces Dan to let the entire group assist with an A Class murder investigation involving victim Ootori. The crime scene reveals a fatal head injury caused by a falling pot and a scrambled text message on the victim's computer. Although Kazuma’s custom decoding software fails to decipher the clue, he eventually succeeds by following Kyu’s advice. He identifies the suspect, who attempts to silence him to destroy evidence. Kazuma is saved from this attack by the timely arrival of Kinta, Kyu, and Megu, leading him to accept his current class standing.
