Ep. 9: Micona confronts Lloyd while Sou battles Vritra, the dragon guardian of Kunlun.
Micona encounters Shōma and Father Sou, while the king tasks Lloyd with slaying a giant snake. Sou enters the dungeon to defeat the beast, followed by Alka seeking Sou and Marie finding an infected Micona. Lloyd fights Micona, who claims friendship weakened her, but he defeats her by asserting that allies made him a true soldier. The snake awakens as Vritra, Guardian of Kunlun and source of Alka’s power. Sou kills Vritra, who reveals his soul resides in Selen’s belt, created inadvertently by Alka. Sou teleports away, promising to unlock Kunlun’s dungeon, and the collapsing dungeon forces Alka to teleport everyone to safety. Due to a mix-up, Allan receives the title Dragon Slayer. Lloyd recognizes Sou as a villain from a Kunlun fairy tale, and Alka later kidnaps Selen and Vritra, claiming she needs them in Kunlun.
