Ep. 23: Sarah uses Gauche's spirit amber to heal townsfolk while Lag escapes with Ann's help.

Sarah employs Gauche's spirit amber to restore the health of the local residents. When Lag inquires about the amber's origin, Sarah feigns ignorance and directs the townspeople to attack his group. During the conflict, Hunt secretly rescues Lag, urging him to flee, while Connor, Niche, and Steak are captured after consuming paralytic waters. Lag meets Ann Grado, who aids his escape in exchange for delivering letters. Ann explains that individuals unable to become Spirit arrived five years ago, attracting followers. Lag discovers gaichuu are drawn to the hearts within these letters. Meanwhile, Sarah and Hunt identify Niche as a true one unable to become Spirit, with Sarah intending to offer her to the anti-government organization Reverse. Hunt reveals to Connor that he and Sarah are frauds. As Lag and Ann transport the letters underground, a Gaichuu named Cidre forces them to the surface. Connor, freed by his dingo Gus, arrives to assist. Although Connor knocks the gaichuu down, Lag is restrained by townspeople. Hunt clears the crowd, allowing Zazie and his dingo to repel the gaichuu.
