Yuri vows to save Rika and ends the madness, rushing to rescue Mayuko from Angel attacks. The Sniper intervenes, saving Mayuko, while Yuri arrives to handle the threat. Despite Kuon’s caution regarding her railgun, Yuri destroys a grenade-launching Angel, impressing allies with her status as a God Candidate. She eliminates one Angel, while The Sniper kills another reporting to "that person." Yuri worries about Mr. Mask becoming an enemy again but is relieved Mayuko is safe. Kuon introduces herself, confirming they are Candidates, and warns The Sniper to distance himself from Mask attacks while staying near Kuon. They discuss ending the realm and seeking peace. Meanwhile, Rika is taken to Mamoru Aikawa, a God Candidate promoting eugenics. Rika feigns agreement to survive his threats. Aikawa explains that reaching the railgun tower is necessary to become the Perfect God, believing his team will support him. Rika hopes Yuri can defeat him. As Kuon questions the link between Mr. Mask and Rika, a helicopter arrives at Aikawa’s rooftop helipad and departs. Aikawa reveals that Guardian Angels attempt to stop Candidates from becoming God.
