Mikael fears for Noelle due to an incoming comet resembling a durian fruit. Yuusuke and Natsumi serve as class representatives for the Durian festival committee. Yuusuke converses with Kai, who reveals his unrequited love for Natsumi and how she began associating with him after her brother Fuyuki’s death, likely viewing Kai as a substitute. Mikael instructs Yuusuke to keep Noelle close. Yuusuke finds Noelle at the clock tower with Lucca, attempting to use the comet’s power to enable her flight. The clock hands reverse, entangling the hose connected to her mechanical wings and lifting her. Yuusuke rescues her and ascends the tower, where he discovers Natsumi has reverted to a child.
