Lala begins acting strangely one morning and is diagnosed with a fever that causes her to change her personality every day. Rito has to deal with a new personality each day while waiting for her medicine to arrive. During this time, he must thwart a plan to take over the world constructed by a harsh, dictator-like Deviluke princess. The narrative focuses on Rito's struggle to manage Lala's shifting demeanor amidst the external threat posed by the ambitious royal antagonist.
