Following the retrieval of his daughter, the King of Deviluke dispatches Zastin to convey a message to Rito. Rito learns he must board a Devilukean spaceship the next day to prove he is the number one individual in the Universe. He confesses his feelings to Haruna before departing, cheered on by citizens of Japan and Earth. During his journey, Rito encounters a rapidly growing dangerous plant. Although he initially escapes, he is eventually caught. Kotegawa arrives in an SUV to rescue him but accidentally hits him due to a misunderstanding. Mikado then drives the vehicle toward the spaceship, ending the episode on a cliffhanger.
