Kal-El Albus and his younger sister, Ariel, prepare to enter Cadoque's High Aerial Division on the flying island of Isla to train as military pilots. The island is controlled by an alliance of the Kingdom of Qi, Balsteros Republic, and Bentares, who seek to uncover secrets about the End of the Sky and the world's creation by Saint Aldista. After settling into their dorms, Kal-El encounters Claire Cruz, a girl struggling with her bicycle. He repairs her bike and escorts her home to ensure she meets her curfew. During their ride through the clouds, they share a tender moment and an embrace before he crashes the bicycle. Upon dropping her off, Kal-El discovers Claire is of noble birth, which prohibits him from visiting her, though he promises to see her again.
