After Takeru drags Akira away, Rin locates him, and they encounter Tomoyuki, a figure from Rin's past who dismisses him. The pair return to their hotel to join Motomi, where Keisuke expresses relief at Akira's safety. Rin arrives with supplies, and the group shares a meal and conversation on a building rooftop. Later, Shiki attacks a group of Line addicts, causing Rin to react upon hearing his name. Akira pursues Rin but is intercepted by Shiki in an alley. They engage in a brief fight that ends with Akira pinned against a wall. Shiki threatens to kill him, but Akira defends himself by kicking Shiki away. Amused, Shiki promises to play with Akira again and leaves. Akira feels energized by the encounter and recognizes Shiki.
