Takeru consumes the drug Line after a mysterious man offers it to him. Upon waking, he finds Rin and Akira missing and sets out to search for them. Meanwhile, Akira is attacked by a rain-influenced group but escapes when their leader goes insane and collapses after licking Akira's blood. Shiki meets with Arbitro, who provides a black case containing what appears to be enhanced Line. Motomi saves Akira, who questions if he caused the leader's collapse. After dealing with the Executioners, the pair head to the hotel, where they reunite with Rin and Keisuke. Irritated by Keisuke's tendency to trivialize the situation and belittle himself, Akira yells at him. Feeling useless, Keisuke runs away from the group.
