Simultaneously, an individual named Carneades hacks the 24th Ward network, leaving an enigmatic message that confuses the trio. In the old Shantytown, a highly addictive substance known as "D" spreads rapidly, leading to increased criminal activity. Shuta learns that Kaba's daughter, Kozue, has been frequenting this hazardous area at night. Concerned for her safety, he decides to follow her to investigate her whereabouts and ensure she remains secure amidst the growing danger and chaos in the district.
