Shuta discovers that Ran's Mentor, 0th, rather than Carneades, instigated the Graffiti Wars. After 0th reveals Carneades' location, Shuta rushes to the top floor of Cornucopia. Asumi calls him, triggering a vision where lightning strikes a crane, causing it to lose control. Shuta confronts a harrowing choice: allow the crane to fall and kill many people, or have the system repaired at the cost of the repairman's life. The repairman is revealed to be Carneades, who presents this trolley dilemma to Shuta.
