Haru, Asako, and Sasayan secure school board approval to keep a rooster, as Sasayan’s cat prevents home care. The group, joined by Shizuku, constructs a coop following a conflict with Haru’s punk acquaintances at a hardware store. Later, Haru and Shizuku walk home, where he notes positive changes since meeting her. Overcome with emotion, Shizuku admits she has fallen in love with him. Haru responds that his feelings may differ. He then receives a text from Mitsuyoshi stating Yuzan is visiting, prompting him to ask Shizuku to stay at her home for the night.
