Shizuku advises Haru to stop glaring at classmates, prompting him to smile and offer help. This change makes him popular among girls, causing Shizuku to feel jealous for the first time. His fame ends when he fights an upperclassman bullying Chizuru Ooshima from Class A. Haru questions if violence is the right way to help, but Shizuku insists people will see his kindness. After a summer mountain trip, the group meets Haru's brother, Yuzan. Shizuku realizes she still has much to learn about Haru due to their strained relationship. Haru asks how to repay Shizuku for always saving him, and she suggests a date as the method of repayment.
