Shizuku notices her mock exam ranking drop to 29th as she spends more time thinking about Haru. Meanwhile, Chizuru struggles with introversion and an inability to make friends. Haru meets her at lunch, and the group gathers at the library to devise sociability strategies. A conflict arises between Haru and Shizuku, leading Shizuku to ignore him. Chizuru reflects on her fear of interaction and observes Shizuku’s comfort with solitude. Shizuku explains her avoidance, which Chizuru translates in a surprising outburst. Haru later takes Shizuku to the library for a date, where she states she no longer has feelings for him. Asako becomes sad upon learning of the date and Shizuku’s reluctance to share her experiences.
