Bijou becomes separated from her group while wandering through the city streets. During her time alone, she encounters a stray cat accompanied by her kittens. The Ham-Hams attempt to locate and rescue Bijou, but their efforts prove unsuccessful. In a separate event, Laura purchases a book titled The Adventures of Hamkins. She and Kana discover the cats within the pages and become captivated by the kittens. This distraction allows the Ham-Hams to finally escape their predicament and reunite with Bijou.
