Laura, her family, and Boss travel to visit their grandmother, who resides near a sunflower field. While Laura is occupied painting with her grandmother, Hamtaro runs away and explores the area alongside Boss. His absence is soon noticed by Laura's family, prompting a widespread search for the missing hamster. After wandering around, Hamtaro eventually makes his way back to Laura. Upon his return, he and Boss recount their adventure to the rest of the Ham-Hams, sharing the details of their excursion with the group.
