As summer vacation concludes, Laura and Kana return to school accompanied by Hamtaro, Oxnard, and Boss. Hamtaro initiates a hamster school, appointing Maxwell as the teacher. The Ham-Hams quickly lose interest in the lessons. Following this, Maxwell attempts to coach them in soccer, which leads to a conflict among the group. They eventually transition to a music class, where they find enjoyment and success in the activity.
