With Elder-Ham's Sunflower Seed Harvest Festival approaching, Sandy admits she has feelings for Maxwell because he reminds her of her twin brother. She asks Hamtaro to determine if Maxwell shares her affection, but he is unable to find out. Elder-Ham then notes that Sandy resembles a boy hamster he once knew. Consequently, the Ham-Hams make a vow to locate Sandy's brother, a plot point that leads directly into the next episode.
