Laura introduces Hamtaro to konpeito-shaped candies named "Diamonds of Sugar." Boss explains that these sweets resemble the stars in the sky. The Ham-Hams decide to catch the supposed Diamonds of Sugar from the heavens, remaining unaware of the stars' actual distance from Earth until they observe a shooting star. Simultaneously, Laura and Kana's families gather for a garden party where they also watch the stars. The group's misunderstanding of celestial distances drives their playful attempt to retrieve the candy-like stars, while the adults enjoy the evening outdoors.
