Ep. 2: Akagi's Unseen Mahjong Talent Attracts Yakuza Leader Yagi Keiji
Aired on October 12, 2005

Akagi displays exceptional mahjong skills despite being a novice, predicting opponents' discards to avoid giving away useful tiles. Concerned about losing to him, yakuza leader Ryuuzaki summons the clan's top player, Yagi Keiji. After watching Akagi, Yagi bets 100,000 yen per round, risking a finger for 100,000 yen, knowing Akagi lacks the cash. Akagi accepts, requiring Yagi to wager his own fingers. The match resumes as a psychological battle rather than a test of skill, with Akagi continuing to dominate the game against the seasoned professional.
