Although the match remains balanced, Nangou and Ichikawa observe that Ichikawa is accumulating more points through Akagi’s cheaper hand wins. This trend threatens Akagi’s position, as continued play would likely result in his defeat due to the disparity in point accumulation despite similar round victories.
