In the first segment, Shutarou invites his classmates to meet the Mendou family's prized octopi. Ataru leads the group in insulting Matsuchiyo, the estate's most precious octopus, causing him to run away hurt. Shutarou promises a reward for the safe return of the little octopus, prompting the group to search for him. In the second segment, a bored Ten visits the school and consumes pickled plums from students' lunches, leading to him and Lum getting drunk. An intoxicated Lum becomes unpleasant and flies around the school searching for Ataru. Meanwhile, three alien girls on a spaceship are plotting against Lum, Benten, and Oyuki.
