Ep. 9: Zero confronts Yuki while Kaname sacrifices his hand to revive Rido.
Zero detects an arrogant Pureblood vampire behind a door, while Yuki falsely claims her human self was consumed by her vampire side. As she departs the Sun Dormitory, Hanabusa provides her shoes and observes her tears, a rare sight for Purebloods. Yuki believes crying only internally serves as punishment. Meanwhile, Kaname visits Rido’s original body and requests Ichiru open the coffin. This encounter surprises Kaname, given that twins in vampire hunter families typically consume each other in the womb. Kaname stabs Ichiru’s hand to provide blood for Rido’s revival. He then reveals he is the original Kuran family member, unrelated to Yuki, and was summoned by Rido, preventing Kaname from killing him. Finally, Kaien meets Toga Yagari, but Zero arrives and demands execution. Yagari refuses, leaving Zero in a prison cell to reflect on Yuki’s words.
