Zero returns to the academy after vanishing, prompting Yuuki to question what occurred during their time apart. Zero experiences recurring visions since consuming Kaname's blood and seeks answers from Maria Kurenai, who offers only vague hints about the real threat. Vampires from the Supreme Vampire Council arrive to execute Zero for killing a pureblood, but Kaname steps in to prevent this, aiming not only to save Zero but also to pursue a hidden objective unknown to others.
