Following a man's suicide from an apartment ledge, Yasuhiro and Saori Takashima are asked by the deceased's family to care for a heterochromic cat. Believing the animal's two-colored eyes bring good luck, Saori grows deeply attached, referring to it as her son and causing Yasuhiro concern about their relationship. The situation escalates when Yasuhiro discovers the cat can speak. As he attempts to separate the creature from Saori, she fatally stabs him in the chest. Overcome by trauma, Saori subsequently jumps from the same ledge. Miyu then confronts Han-Ki, a shinma, and returns it to the darkness.
