Ep. 1: Dante and Johann lead Vanitas and Noé to Suagues to hunt the Beast of Gévaudan in the Silver Forest.

While searching for the Beast of Gévaudan, Dante, Johann, Vanitas, and Noé enter the Silver Forest near Suagues. Noé gets lost in the snow, while the others meet dragoons, suggesting time travel. Jeanne stops the Beast, but Noé meets Astolfo Granatum, a Chasseur who recognizes him as a vampire. Astolfo kills the dragoons and uses a serum to boost his power. Jeanne and Vanitas arrive to fight the Beast. Vanitas provokes Astolfo, summoning Naenia and demons. Astolfo goes mad. Vanitas tries to use The Book of Vanitas to heal the Beast, but a knife knocks the book away. The scene fades to black. Noé remains unconscious. Chloé reverts to human form. Jean-Jacques finds the grimoire and asks Chloé to return to Gévaudan castle with him.
