Ep. 2: Jeanne discovers wounded Vanitas in snow while Jean-Jacques and Chloé capture Noé and the grimoire.

Jeanne rescues Vanitas from Astolfo’s poisoned knife and shelters him in an abandoned building. She attempts to heal him, unaware that he seeks to save the Beast she intends to destroy. After recovering overnight, Vanitas is embarrassed by Jeanne’s proximity to his naked form. Johann and Dante arrive, revealing that Jean-Jacques and Chloé have abducted Noé and the grimoire. Vanitas questions their motives and demands answers regarding the pursuit of the Beast, prompting Dante to explain. Meanwhile, Marco locates Alfonso hiding in a cave, still determined to kill the Beast. At Castle Gévaudan, Chloé feeds on unconscious Noé until a jealous Jean-Jacques intervenes. Later, Noé joins dinner and encounters Charalatan’s envoy, Naenia, alongside Chloé.
