Chloé attempts to strangle Naenia to avenge Jean-Jacques’ transformation into the Beast. Vanitas cautions her that Naenia remembers her identity as Queen Faustina, the first vampire of the Crimson Moon. Naenia resists, and the Beast assaults Chloé, but the queen effortlessly repels it, causing Chloé to collapse in pain. The castle disintegrates into a closed world created by Chloé, where wolves attack the populace. Paladin Roland, accompanied by Chasseurs Olivier, Georges, and Maria, arrives to slay the wolves. Roland reunites Vanitas and Noé, stating he wishes to speak with Chloé before killing the Beast. Meanwhile, Jeanne recalls being turned into a bureau by Ruthven to serve as a weapon.
