At Soubu High's Cultural Festival, Hachiman documents events as a committee member while Komachi notes his responsibility. Haruno performs with an orchestra, but the closing ceremony stalls when Minami goes missing. Hachiman finds her sulking on the laboratory roof because Yukino stole the spotlight. After Hayato and Minami’s clique arrive, Hachiman uses reverse psychology and social reality to guilt Minami into her duty, angering Hayato. The festival concludes with musical performances by Yui, Yukino, Haruno, and Shizuka, followed by Minami’s speech. Shizuka praises Hachiman’s self-sacrificing rescue methods but laments the personal cost. Later, Hachiman and Yukino discuss their growing friendship in the Service Club room. Yui invites them to an after-party hosted by Hayato. Hachiman reflects that while life offers no second chances, his and Yukino’s societal ideals may remain viewed as deviances.
