Superintendent Yakushiji and Assistant Inspector Izumida travel to Okinawa to investigate the disappearance of several environmentalists. Their mission involves examining the reclusive JPP founder Ryojin Tadomura. Meanwhile, Yukiko Muromachi, a fellow Superintendent and Yakushiji’s rival, arrives on the island to execute her own assignment. Upon arrival, the team discovers that the JPP founder's villa is now dominated by a mutated species of mangrove trees. This unusual environmental anomaly complicates the investigation into the missing persons and the activities of the JPP leadership within this secluded location.
