Miyu notices her husband Osamu acting strangely by ignoring her and refusing to eat. He admits to a recurring dream where he is married to another woman. After he begins sleep-talking and claims to have eaten on the other side, Miyu begs him to stop, and he agrees to stay on this side. Osamu apologizes in his sleep for worrying her and makes a pinky promise to refrain from such behavior in the future. However, Miyu later returns home to find Osamu comforting another woman on the couch. He explains that he made a pinky promise with the shadow of a woman she can see at night. Following this revelation, Miyu begins to vanish from existence.
