Frustrated with his life, a man finds an old DVD in his apartment containing a message from his elementary school self. The recording shows his childhood dream of becoming a mangaka, but the footage distorts as his younger self reproaches his current failure. After encountering monochrome apparitions that resemble his vanished classmates, he visits Shigeru Saitou, the only other survivor of their group. Suspecting a curse related to unfulfilled dreams, he plays Saitou’s DVD. The recording reveals Saitou was bullied and declares that his classmates deserved death for it. The man finds a yearbook with all classmates crossed out except his and Saitou’s. As child Saitou claims only one remains, an adult monochrome Saitou appears behind him with a twisted smile.
