A weary workaholic endures a train ride home, irritated by fellow passengers' noise. He spots a disturbing flesh-like entity on the overhead rack, dismissing it as fatigue-induced hallucination. An abrupt emergency stop cuts the power after a passenger accident, prompting the conductor's announcement. As two travelers discuss recent deaths in that specific area, the mass reappears and begins enveloping the man. Overcome by panic and sudden weakness, he loses the will to resist the creature, which promises he will soon feel better.
