Ep. 11: Rumi becomes obsessed with a grandmother's cuckoo clock that breaks at midnight
Rumi and her mother visit their grandmother, where Rumi fixates on a cuckoo clock. The grandmother explains the bird only emerges to tell time. Rumi becomes obsessed, mimicking the ticking sound and rushing to the living room whenever it chimes. Her grandmother suggests the clock needs attention to remain happy. Five minutes before midnight, Rumi wakes up and stands before the clock, her eyes spinning like hands. At midnight, the bird fails to appear. When Rumi checks the mechanism, the clock falls and shatters. A grotesque, fleshy bird with rolling eyes emerges, making a distorted sound that amuses Rumi. The next morning, her mother finds Rumi missing from bed. Downstairs, Rumi makes ticking noises. When her mother calls out, Rumi turns around with spinning eyes and a mouth transformed into a clock door. As the door opens, screams and choked cuckoo sounds are heard from the house exterior.
