This episode opens with a boy drawing on a playground slide while other children play hopscotch. A new teacher arrives in town and attempts to engage with him, but he walks away. Later, she notices him drawing in class and asks for a portrait, only to be told it would be boring. Another teacher informs her that three students are missing, having been seen at the park. The new teacher follows the boy over several days, witnessing him draw various monsters consuming humans, including a giant heron and mannequins chasing a store manager. She discovers his sketchbook contains drawings of the missing children playing hopscotch, grabbed by a monster. The boy then draws her, stating she is more interesting now. She is surrounded by monsters from the third season as the boy’s face fades into the mask worn by the kamishibai storyteller from the first two seasons. The storyteller declares "the end," revealing the season one opening scene with children watching blankly. The end card slams repeatedly as the children’s faces distort into monstrous forms like a frog, prawn, and sea slug. Finally, the boy stands before the kamishibai theater wearing the original mask and says "The End."
