Two teenage couples stop at an unlocked abandoned house to test their courage, hearing rumors of vanished residents. Inside, they discover a Buddhist altar with Hinamatsuri dolls, noting one court lady doll appears to smile and the empress doll is missing. While exploring the second floor, Nobuko is dared to look into a three-sided mirror by her boyfriend Haruo. Although the physical door remains closed, its reflection opens fully, revealing a giant Hinamatsuri empress doll in the threshold. The entity enters the room, grabs Yumi, and exits. The group flees in terror, only to find Yumi’s body slumped on the doll platforms, her face painted to resemble the empress. They turn to see the empress doll behind them, laughing with a witch’s cackle and revealing large teeth.
