Ep. 10: Yawara Throws Her Opponent in a Split Second to Win the Match

Yawara struggles to fake a loss against the surprisingly weak Yuki Tohdoh, confusing reporters and experts like Hanazono, Shinnosuke, and Gohzoh Yuutenji. Jigoro suspects her deception while Matsuda leaves the venue, where he encounters an unknown woman. Spotting her mother Tamao watching from the window, Yawara reflexively executes a one-arm shoulder throw for an ippon victory. Shinnosuke attempts to socialize with Yawara's friends, while Yawara and Tamao escape the press. Matsuda, unaware of the win, is confronted by reporters about aiding their flight, halting his plan to resign and return to his family hostel in Yamagata. At home, Tamao tells Yawara that strength exists beyond judo. Jigoro joins them, and Tamao bribes him with beef stroganoff to avoid arguments, while sharing photos of Yawara's father, possibly seen near Hida Takayama.
